twenty-second to thirtieth of July 2025
This year marks the 19th annual Hamburg University of Music Summer Master Class. Master classes and concerts will be held at the Hamburg University of Music for about one to two weeks. The master classes are aimed at majors of violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, piano, and chamber music, and will feature professors from the Hamburg University of Music, including Sebastian Schmidt, a violinist, Anna Kreta Gribaitzevich, a Finnish viola player who is a professor at the Hamburg University of Music, Arto Noras (cello), a former professor at the Hamburg University of Music and the Sibelius Academy, and Michel Luciec (clarinet), a former professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieure de Musique de Paris and currently a professor at the Conservatoire Regional de Nice. Renowned musicians from Germany and abroad will be invited as lecturers. Excellent students from all over the world gather here to test their abilities and further hone their skills. Thanks to the top-notch instruction that can only be received here, they meet a new self that has grown into a new self. In addition to master classes, there are also many concerts by participating students and instructors, and one of the features is that there are many performance opportunities, including a closing concert at the Hamburg University of Music on the last day. It's only two weeks, but it's two weeks. In Europe, the birthplace of classical music, and especially in traditional Germany, the time to think about your future as a musician and dream bigger than anyone else will surely be engraved in your heart as a valuable experience for the rest of your life.
