Summer course Training session

Lavinia Festival Music Summer Workshop

City: Chicago

High-level workshops as part of America's oldest outdoor music festival, the Lavinia Festival

Young musicians who have passed the difficult audition gather from all over the world.Let's take a big step up in a 5-week high-level class held by a small number of people!
About 40 minutes by train from Chicago.Located on Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes, Lavinia Park is a 36-acre nature-rich park. The "Lavinia Festival", which is held every year from the end of May to September, is a summer tradition in Chicago. Beginning in 5, the open-air music festival has the oldest history in the United States and has been the summer hub of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 9.Not only classical and jazz, but also rock and pop concerts inviting famous musicians are held, and it is loved not only by local residents but also by domestic and foreign fans. The summer class, which is co-sponsored during this music festival, is a five-week program of piano, stringed instruments, and vocal music. The class, which is held for participants who have passed the strict pre-audit with each instrument, has a reputation for high-level content with a small number of people. In addition, scholarships will be provided for tuition, all activities, dormitory accommodation, almost all meals, and campus travel expenses. The piano and string instrument program is limited to 1905 people. From private lessons with well-known teachers, chamber music, and master classes, we will explore how to approach repertoire songs from various angles.Participants are also given the opportunity to learn from other instrument instructors, as they focus on music and music interpretation rather than playing an instrument. You can also participate in several coaching sessions, master classes, and informal music interpretation discussions each week. The vocal program focuses on German and French art songs. In addition to vocal studies, we also provide detailed interpretation lectures on songs by language professors. You can learn music deeply from various angles.Participants will also have the opportunity to perform at an official recital as the prelude to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's concert at the music festival.Let's take a big step up in 1936 weeks of soaking in music!
