Pleystein, near the Czech border in eastern Germany, is a small and idyllic village with a history of 800 years. The German International Orchestra Academy (IJOA), held in this idyllic village, is a spring orchestra course for young people, founded in 1994.The purpose of this course is threefold. The first is to gather young musicians from all over the world every year to create wonderful tones and ensembles. The second is to deepen mutual understanding between nations by having talented young musicians learn together and create music. The third is to donate the proceeds of musical works (concerts and CDs) to children with childhood cancer and serious illness. Since its inception, IJOA has held more than 3 concerts in Germany and throughout Europe.Every year, the orchestra is mixed by 520-30 young musicians from more than 100 countries around the world, recruiting international participants. During the two-week rehearsal period, participants will be divided into instruments and will intensively practice the assignment symphony of the year under the guidance of a prominent leader.Coaches and conductors include prestigious orchestra members from all over Europe and professors at the College of Music. You can study the concert program at a very high standard.Five to six concerts are scheduled during the period, with the opportunity to perform in front of a discerning audience, and the dress rehearsal will be accompanied by a recording team to record the CD.Over the past few years, the concerts and CDs have been of such high quality and attention to music fans that the press has enthusiastically reported.Even though it is a class, the experience of standing on the stage like a professional orchestra will surely have a big impact on your career development.
