■ General school information ■

Since establishing its first Language Center in Washington, DC in 1961, ELS has been teaching English to millions of students in more than 45 countries around the world for over 140 years.Today, it has become the world's largest network of English schools operating language centers on campus, with more than 40 locations in the United States alone.Over 550 colleges, universities and vocational schools across the United States accept ELS-level certificates in place of TOEFL or other standardized tests. We are also focusing on training staff, and we have dedicated staff such as center directors, academic directors, and international student advisors who are responsible for creating lesson programs and caring for students. Many of the instructors are all graduates of college and have a master's or doctoral degree.Usually, after graduating from university, they receive special training for two years, and then undergo further training at ELS.Students can study hard in an environment that takes full advantage of the benefits of a huge network school.

■ Location ■

When studying abroad, I think you have various images of yourself, such as a lifestyle surrounded by lively street corners, shopping, and dining opportunities, while experiencing the everyday life of Americans in a quiet suburb. ..Both the center in the downtown business district and the quiet center in the suburban university are attractive. No matter what lifestyle you envision, ELS will find the best environment for you. You can choose from more than 40 locations, and even if you cannot narrow down to one location or want to experience various environments, you have the option of continuing to study at several centers. ELS is the first school to set up a language center on an American university campus.Choosing to live on campus has the advantage of meeting students from all over the United States and around the world and studying with a firm eye on your next goal.

■ Class ■

ELS offers a dense program that requires concentration by taking advantage of the vast know-how cultivated so far and the advantage of being located on the campus (partial peep).Under such circumstances, in addition to the Intensive English Program, we started the ELS Fast Track Program. The ELS Fast Track Program is an accelerated learning program set to complete one level in three weeks. The regular intensive course takes 1 weeks each for intermediate, advanced, and master, for a total of 3 weeks, while the Fast Track takes 12 weeks each, for a total of 36 weeks. This program is available for students who are already at or above the beginner level, or who have completed the beginner level and are ready for an intensive learning environment.Students will reach their goals for college and the next step through intensive lessons, a lot of homework, and a program called "Campus Contact Hour" to interact with local American students.
