Professor at the Aix-en-Provence Conservatory, who combines delicacy and strength. / Piano & Chamber Music Open Lesson (Face-to-Face) Wednesday, July 2025th & Friday, July 7th, 9 Limited to 7 people + Limited to 11 people

Patrick, who inherited the sophisticated French sense and learned the German playing philosophy, is sensei with his own style.
Patrick Zygmanowski is a pianist who has been praised by critics from leading music magazines such as Diapason, Mondo, and Classica for his "elegant and majestic playing." His piano, which effortlessly balances the two polar opposites of elegance and majesty, shines as a unique individual in the modern classical music world. There is a secret behind his unique playing style. It is that he was taught by top pianists who inherited the musical traditions of France and Germany. At the Conservatoire de Paris, the most prestigious school in France, he studied under Jean Hubeau, a virtuoso French pianist of the 20th century, and Jacques Rouvier, known for his noble sense and esprit. He then studied at the German National University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, where he studied under Gerhard Opitz, a direct disciple of the maestro Wilhelm Kempff. In this way, Patrick has mastered both the delicate French style and the powerful German style. He won the Paris International Chamber Music Competition, the FUNAPEC International Competition, and the Henrizoge International Competition, and is currently active internationally, producing CDs such as the complete works of Ravel, concerts, and music festivals. He has served as professor at the Conservatoire de Montpellier, assistant professor at the Conservatoire de Lyon, and professor at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, and is currently professor at the Conservatoire de Aix-en-Provence.

If you haven't taken lessons yet, you can listen to them. There is so much you can learn by not only playing for yourself, but also watching other people's lessons. In fact, many students in Europe study through listening. It is also an opportunity to listen to the performances of many other people, and through the lessons of various people, you will be able to better understand the teaching method and personality of sensei.Musical instruments other than the piano can also enjoy the atmosphere of overseas classes, so please feel free to join us.The teaching method of overseas professors is completely different from that of Japan. In particular, the main focus is to "enjoy and express music more", so the points to teach vary from student to student.Isn't it a big point for those who are aiming to study abroad or become a professional in the future to feel how the points of teaching are different from those in Japan?Even if you are not satisfied with Japan, it will be an opportunity to think about studying abroad.

If you are thinking of studying in France or other countries in Europe, you can try studying abroad while you are in Japan. Consider the possibility of studying abroad in Europe.

It's a great chance to meet sensei overseas while you are in Japan!
Just thinking does not open the door to your dreams. There is only action. Don't miss this opportunity!

■ Excerpts from the comments of participants and listeners ■

■ Lesson students ( FO)
It was a lot of fun.It was a great learning experience for me to carefully teach me what is important and what I cannot do now.I think that the songs you saw today require a sense and skill of various elements to express nuances and facial expressions, but it was very good that you could teach them in an easy-to-understand manner.thank you!

■ Lesson auditor (Ms. S)
It was my first time to have a public lesson, so I listened to what it was like, and it was really good.I don't go to the music college, so I don't have the opportunity to listen to various performances like this, so I'm very impressed to hear the performance of sensei again.First of all, I wanted to take a public lesson in Japan. If you have another chance to hold a Zigmanovsky sensei lesson, please let me know.I wanted to be able to study abroad and speak French.Today, I wanted to do my best on the piano.

■ Lesson auditor (A ・ M)
It was my first time so I was nervous, but
The lessons were fun and exciting, and I really learned!
The story of sensei is very easy to understand, and there are many things that are noticed.
There are many new discoveries such as stories about the background of the song.
After listening to the lecture, the points to be aware of when practicing by myself also changed.
If I have a chance, I would love to take a lesson too!I thought ♪
I went from Nagoya, and I'm really glad that I participated.
Thank you very much! !

■ Lesson students ( SK)
Thank you for taking the lesson today, and it was a great learning experience for me to take the lessons carefully according to the stage. Many of the things I learned this time were very important notes that they can be applied not only to today's song but also to learning another song next time.I learned a lot and enjoyed the course.

■ Lesson students ( TK)
It was a very fun lesson. The sensei was very friendly and humorous, and I was able to listen without being nervous. The place was like a salon and I was able to relax.Zigmanovsky sensei taught me in an easy-to-understand manner by gesturing. Not only those who are learning professionally, but also those who play the piano as a hobby can enjoy the lessons. It made me think again that the technique is necessary to express what I think and think in my head, not to make my fingers turn quickly. He taught me not only the image of the instrument but also how to make the sound like that instrument (touch, how to use the arms, how to use the body).By all means, if there is another Zigmanovsky sensei lesson, I would like to take it with a different song.Thank you very much.

■ Lesson students ( I ・ T)
It was a fun lesson.I'm happy, but listening is fun and it makes me want to study more. Also, it will be helpful to attend the lecture from the standpoint of teaching. There were lots of hints on how to approach the students. The process of getting better and changing is wonderful.I'm surprised that you can change in one lesson.Thank you very much.

■ Lesson students (Y ・ Y)
The way to beat is bad from before, so I reconfirmed this time.I would like to practice considering the placement of my hands and the amount of force.

■ Lesson students (S ・ O)
It was sensei that I met in Cagliari last month, so I was able to relax instead of meeting for the first time.I've been playing songs that I've just started playing, so I think I could see how to practice and what to do in the future.

■ Lesson auditor ( A)
I am very glad that I did my best to participate in the typhoon today. It was very fruitful because the world that I was looking for in sensei's music was connected.I wanted to hear more and more about sensei. It seemed that I could study French eco-normal while I was in Japan. However, I thought that by actually seeing and touching European culture, I would be able to understand what sensei is saying more deeply. Thanks to And Vision, I wanted to take advantage of this kind of opportunity to be exposed to the atmosphere while staying in Japan.

■ Lesson student ( AH)
As advised by sensei, let's improve our sensibility and aim for a good sound besides the piano!I thought. sensei spoke openly and frankly and talked about the episodes of his childhood, which I heard very interestingly. It was a very good lesson, so if I have a sensei lesson scheduled for a holiday someday, I would love to participate. As always, thank you very much to And Vision and Patrick sensei.

■ Lesson auditor (M.M.)
The performances, lessons and stories were so wonderful and interesting that I was deeply moved.Thank you very much.

■ Lesson auditor (RA)
-I'm glad to hear about Scriabin's music.
-It was good to hear how to attack the tone.

■ Lesson students (M.K.)
I learned everything wonderfully.I was able to feel the culture of Zigmanovsky sensei and had the image of going to France.I would like you to come again.

■ Lesson student (NI)
It was very helpful because it was very easy to understand how to approach touch and sound! Anyway, the change in the tone of sensei was so great that I learned a lot and I am really glad that I participated in the lesson.

■ Lesson students (I.FI)
I was able to listen to French things by French sensei, so it was very interesting to feel something like a French feeling fresh.
When sensei, who listened to my performance for the first time, pointed out my fundamental habits and bad points such as how to play, I was able to recognize it properly. There was nothing wrong with it!Only good things.

■ Lesson student ( AH)
I received a lot of wonderful advice, but first of all, how to play non-legato and how to use it.Where to use it?You must have taught me carefully!I didn't really know "what is non-legato" until now! !! !!I learned that.I can see the clue to the solution.Furthermore, when I tried to remember other precautions such as not to crush the back of my hand even during the octave, it evolved as if a hornworm had wings and suddenly became a butterfly. It was very helpful just to look at the part where sensei was playing. It was a great time.Thank you so much!Thank you again!

■ Lesson student (KO)
Patrick sensei's lesson was very informative and wonderful.
This time I was taking a foreign sensei lesson for the first time, so I was nervous and stiff.
I tried the lesson, but when I actually met sensei, he welcomed me comfortably and I was immediately relieved of tension.
And Patrick sensei's lesson was very unique and it was such a fun time that I wanted to take the next lesson early.
He looked at me from the fine fingering, and I was really noticed by the way of touching, how to relax, and the teaching method that was particular about the tone.
There were many things. For example, he played various other songs as examples, and taught me in a very easy-to-understand manner.
By taking this lesson, I can make new discoveries within myself and think about when I start playing new songs.
I feel that my care has changed.I'm really thankful to you.

■ Lesson student (RS)
I am very glad that you taught me how to practice in detail, the position of my arms, and how to move my fingers.

■ Lesson student (KK)
It was a great lesson, I learned a lot and it was a lot of fun.French-like, so that you can transform yourself
I want to further improve what I have learned.I would love to take it again, thank you.

■ Lesson student (RY)
I took lessons and learned a lot from the wonderful lessons.I definitely wanted to take it again

■ Lesson student (HN)
After watching the three songs, I learned how to weaken and how to make a tone that suits the songs.
When practicing alone, I realized that there were many overlooked parts such as rests, slurs, and strengths.
The interpreter also spoke in an easy-to-understand manner, which was helpful.

■ Lesson student (TH)
The staff, the interpreters, and above all, Zigmanovsky sensei was a wonderful and invaluable time.
It was hard for the studio to be a little confusing, but everything else was really great.
Thank you very much.If I have such an opportunity, I would definitely like to take it.

■ Lesson student (MM)
There were quite a few things I overlooked.I was very nervous, but sensei gave lessons while talking about various analogies.
It was easy to understand because he gave me

■ Lesson student (RM)
I was able to take the course less nervously than last time.I was worried because I wasn't feeling well, but when I touched the piano
I feel a little more energetic.I wanted to be careful not to fill in the fingering and not to play different sounds with my assumptions.
Thank you all!

■ Lesson auditor (NM)
I learned a lot about how to interpret songs, techniques, practice methods, etc. in an accurate and easy-to-understand manner.
I felt that the levels of the students varied considerably.
There are times when I can't listen to it all day long, so I'm a little disappointed if there are people who aren't satisfied with the content.

■ Lesson auditor (MM)
It was very helpful.Especially the composition, how to make changes, tone color, etc.I am always grateful for your help.

■ Lesson student (MO)
I took Patrick Zigmanovsky sensei's piano lesson for the first time.
It helped me to teach me the basics, including how to hold and shape my hands, and how to practice normally from now on.
I am very grateful that you taught me in a very easy-to-understand manner and that the interpreter helped me.

■ Lesson student (MY)
Since I had you see it by sensei other than the usual sensei, please point out the part that you do not usually pay attention to.
I learned a lot.I speak a little Japanese, so I wasn't too nervous and I was able to relax.
