Mike del Ferro was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, as the son of Leonardo del Ferro, an opera singer who co-starred with Maria Callas. I started learning classical piano at the age of nine.After that, fascinated by jazz, Del Ferro graduated from the Master's Program in Contemporary Music at the Amsterdam Conservatory. In 9, he won the Rotterdam Jazz Piano Competition and won the Soloist Award at the European Jazz Contest in Brussels. From 88 he studied composition and arrangements with Bob Brookmeyer of the Cologne Conservatory, and from 93 he was a professor of jazz piano at the Royal Academy of Music in Kent, Belgium.As an educator, I also teach self-management and networking necessary for career development in the music industry.He has made a name for himself as a soloist, accompaniment, composer and arranger, and has performed with many prominent musicians.To date, he has released 95 albums, playing a wide range of genres of music, from Dixieland to salsa.Its deep and wide musicality has been cultivated by traveling to 17 countries around the world.I have built a musical bridge with a culture that is completely different from my own.It also combines elements of the norms of godly Western music, scattered in the boldness of jazz improvisation, and continues to perform in honor of the structure of traditional music around the world.
