Anne-Lise Gastaldi studied under Anne Queffelec at the Nice Regional Conservatory. She then went on to study at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris, where her talent was recognized by the master of chamber music, Jean Mouillere. She has won numerous awards at international competitions, among them the Munich International Music Competition (chamber music section), which is world-famous as a gateway to success for young musicians. After her debut, she honed her skills by working with leading musicians such as Queffelec, Indiana University Music Professor Gary Hoffman, and Orchester National de France Principal Violinist Sarah Nemtanu. In recent years she has formed a trio and she is active as a trio pianist. Her rich musicality has attracted the attention of the world, and she has been invited to music festivals not only in France such as La Folle Journée, but also in Italy, Sweden, Canada and other countries. So far, she has released two CDs, Schumann and Boulanger-Debussy, which have been highly praised by the prestigious French music magazines, and is about to release her third. She has also collaborated with actors, contemporary artists, novelists, and other disciplines, and won the Prix de Rome for her literary music collaboration. Known for her dedication to education, she is popular with both children and adults. She teaches at the Conservatoire National de Paris & Conservatoire National de Lyon, as well as the Paris Regional Conservatory.
