Houghton College was founded in 1883 as a private liberal arts college for Christians.While respecting tradition, we have cultivated human resources who can catch the trends of the world economy and respond to the changing modern society.Even now, that policy has not changed, and we are conducting education based on Christianity.The campus offers 48 bachelor's degree programs in the fields of liberal arts and science.The small school with 1,100 students attracts students from North America and 25 countries around the world, and has a well-established system for accepting international students.The ratio of the number of students to one professor is 1.It is attractive to be able to learn with a high degree of understanding while casually discussing in a friendly atmosphere unique to a small school.

BMus has an elective research course where you can freely choose the major you are interested in, and you can see the high degree of freedom.In the graduate course, we offer MA degree, performance, collaborative performance (chamber music), composition, and MMus degree acquisition course in music + Christian culture study (worship, culture, etc.).Research guidance is provided so that each student can master the field of specialization and artistry, and understand the philosophy and ideas behind it.
