Country:
City:

Perform with the world-famous Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra at the award-winning concert.

An international music competition held in a beautiful Czech castle, where Beethoven and Liszt were also invited. In 1973, Krystian Zimermann was awarded.
The Beethoven Festival International Music Competition is held as part of the "Beethoven Festival" in the city of Hradec Nad Moravizi in the western part of the Czech Republic. The competition itself started in 1962.In recent years, the target instruments (piano, violin, viola, cello) have been changed every one to two years. The 1nd meeting scheduled for 2 will be for the cello. The music festival is sponsored by the Arts Education Association, the National Institute of Cultural Properties, and Hradec Nad Moravizi Castle. The competition is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Moravian Silesia Regional Council, the Hradez Nad Moravizi City Council, the Silesia Foundation and other sponsors.Although it is not well known in Japan, it is known as a competition that attracts attention not only in the Czech Republic but also in neighboring countries such as Germany and Russia.
The annual examination is conducted in three stages: primary, secondary, and final, and is open to the public.Often the final task is a free-choice concerto with an orchestra, but if you want to play a rare concerto you will need to arrange a private pianist. If you win, you will be able to collaborate with the Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra at the award-winning concert. The jury has an up-and-coming musician every time, and in 3, the jury chief Alexander Besa, Nobuko Imai, Pyotr Reichert and others served. The judges are waiting for a fresh performance unique to music students.
The venue for the competition is the beautiful Czech castle of Hradez Nad Moravizi. The castle was owned by Marquis Karl Lichnovsky, who had a close relationship with Mozart and was a patron of Beethoven.Beethoven visited in 1806 and 1811, and Liszt visited in 1846 and 1847, respectively. Why don't you experience something that can only be experienced here by letting your sensibility resonate in this place related to a big musician?
