YM/Vienna Winter Music Seminar
-full name

Dear YM
-Major

Piano
-Participating course name

Piano / Winter Music Masterclass in Vienna / Viena, Austria
-Participation period

December 2023, 12 - January 29, 2024
-How did you feel about studying abroad this time? Please give us your overall impressions.

I had a very meaningful time. The lessons were good (sensei was good) and I took piano seriously. I thought it would have been better if I had more time to practice. Also, Vienna is a city filled with music and seems like a good place to live, so I was able to enjoy spending time outside of playing the piano.
-Is there anything that particularly impressed you? (In various aspects such as seminars, daily life, etc.)

Seminar: Sensei often points out basic points such as posture and how to pull, which has changed the way I pay attention when practicing.
Lifestyle: I also rode the subway many times, but the shaking was so bad that I took the S-Bahn and it was very comfortable.
-■About the lesson■-
-Instructor name

Stefan Arnold sensei
-Number of participants per class

1
-Number of lessons

4 times
-How to proceed with the lesson

We declare the song we would like to perform and play it first. And he gave me some guidance from the beginning.
-Impressions of the instructor/lesson (what kind of lesson was it? Differences from Japan, etc.)

It was very nice sensei. It was easy to understand and I was very sensitive to sounds. It helped me understand the basic movements.
-About interpreters (Was it good to have an interpreter? Did you have any problems?)

Arnold sensei also seemed to speak English, so I didn't need an interpreter if it was English.
-■About accommodations■-
-Accommodation type

Hotel
-It was good point

It was close to the station and comfortable.
-Bad points

Breakfast was the same every day so it was a little disappointing.
-■About the country, city, and town where you stayed■-
-What was your impression of this country and city after actually visiting? (Security, traffic, impressions of people in town, etc.)

I wanted to live there because it's safe. There were people of various races, but I got the impression that they all blended in well with Vienna. The subway was shaking a lot, but it was simple, easy to understand, and convenient.
-How was the meal there? (self-catering, eating out, etc.)

It was very delicious. There was also a Japanese restaurant run by Japanese people, so we enjoyed Japanese food.
-Please tell us how you think you have grown or changed after studying abroad.

He pointed out the basics of keystrokes and posture, and I was able to make sounds that I had never been able to make before.
-How did you like the service from &Vision? (Good points, bad points)

It was a lot of fun. The local staff were also very nice.
-Please give some advice to those who are thinking about studying abroad in the future.

If you go to study abroad, I think you will get something different from what you had before you went. Please take the plunge and try studying abroad.
-What kind of programs do you think would be good in the future?

I think it would be possible to enjoy Vienna even more if there were more options for local lodging, such as weekly apartments instead of hotels.
